The dynamic between rex (one of the most loyal clones we have seen) and a deserter is incredible. These clones are still human with deep thoughts and feelings and this episode explores it more than any other. My favourite scene is where Rex joins the family at the table and is told that he too longs for a family. The deserter says he knows it because they are all clones so think similarly. I found this interesting as all the clones must have this urge to be pulled away from the war. This sets up a conflict in all clones whether they should begin a family or serve in a war. Even rex considered it.
Overall, an intriguing study of the humanity and mind set of the clones.
