The idea of using an "average" white couple with two children is an ingenious way of getting the message across: in this case, the viewer just might emote for the barely twenty minutes of this short docu-drama, shot from the heart. As someone sharing "home" with five refugees from as many different nations, I can confirm that this ingenious short encapsulates the hidden backstory of their flight from everything familiar to a new and conflicting world of privilege. A worthy idea admirably executed.
