Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Rookies (2008)
Season 1, Episode 5
8/10
Rookies

This was the episode that really got me hooked on the show back in the days. I loved the development of the Clone Troopers. The fact that they are given some character and aren't just soldiers anymore gives so much more baggage as the show carries on. This was the first episode where we really got a sense of who Captain Rex was, and his legacy definitely endured, as already in this episode, he is a true badass. The action sequences were fiery and visceral, and the stakes were there. It demonstrates what this show can do at its best and how much it gets you invested in the characters, even though they carry masks throughout most of it. A personal favorite of mine and the episode that set the stage for the show's future.
