The Deserter

Dave Filoni once said that this show was primarily about the Clone troopers, and this episode really enforced that statement. Not only was this a great episode that focused on a different aspect of the war, but it gave a great look at how close the troopers are. The idea of a deserter feels so foreign to the world of "Star Wars," and yet they managed to make a poignant episode about the ties of war and what they can do to someone. The action in the episode was a nice bonus, but the meat of the story came from that storyline, which I appreciated a lot. It is a great character study, and it all adds to the development of Rex, and with the benefit of knowing where he ends up ultimately, this episode just adds up so perfectly with what happens down the line.
