This short OVA series is set after the events of the original series and its specials; I would strongly advise watching those first as this wastes no time reintroducing characters or their situations. My comments assume people will at least have seen some of the previous instalments.
Keitaro and Naru have finally been accepted into the prestigious Tokyo University but Keitaro promptly breaks a leg and can't attend for several months. Once he recovers he goes away on an archaeological dig with Seta. While he is away his step sister, Kanako, takes it upon herself to run the Hinata apartments. She is much stricter and appears keen to get rid of certain other residents... because she wants Keitaro for herself! The situation doesn't improve when he returns.
If you enjoyed 'Love Hina' you are sure to want to watch this. It maintains the slightly madcap fun of the original while also turning up the level of fan service somewhat... it is still fairly mild compared to some well-known series. The story is fun enough and provides quite a few laughs, if possibly not quite as many as the original.
Overall I'd certainly recommend this to fans of the original; it might not be quite as good but it is still worth watching.
