Volcanic eruptions unleash ancient dragons from decades of hibernation to wreak havoc upon the world. It's up to scientist Simon Lowell (a solid and sincere performance by Corin Nemec) to figure out a way to stop said dragons before it's too late.

Director Kevin O'Neill relates the enjoyably inane story at a brisk pace, treats the incredibly ludicrous premise with jaw-dropping seriousness, and stages the dragon attack scenes with flair. The game cast play it with admirable straight faces: Victoria Pratt as perky professor Carla Simms, Mia Marcon as Lowell's feisty teen daughter Heather, Troy Evans as the hard-nosed General Hodges, Robert Newman as the no-nonsense Colonel Maxwell, Heidi Fielek as snarky reporter Paige Summers, and Dominika Juillet as the nerdy Brayden Adcox. The dodgy CGI effects further add to this movie's considerable campy charm. A real kitschy hoot.
