Not sure why all the one star reviews. Maybe all the nostalgia people offended by yet another remake of their favorite show that is not quite as good as the original. How could it be? But is it as terrible as they think it? How could it be? The simple fact is the remake is a current more up to date version which means that toys for the kids of today and the grandpa does yoga and the fx is a little strange until you get used to it if you allow yourself to get used to it. And if you are the kind of person who longs for the same voice actors you remember then you of course will be disappointed.
But the fact is the soul of the show is the same as ever. Two competing storylines happening at the same time. The adults do one thing and the kids confusingly misintrpret what is going on and have an adventure because of it. For example in one of the better early stories Tommy's mom decides to hire a declutter expert who instead begins to steal everything in the house including Tommy favorite toy so he goes on a hunt to get it back.
Is the show perfect, no it is slow in spots but it is a fun show to watch so don't believe the harsh reviews.
