**Pilot review only** When I first saw the preview for this show I thought "huh this looks better than the trash the CW has been producing lately". The pilot quickly depleted any hope I had for this show. This show tries incredibly hard to be woke. The "small town fights against evil corporation" thing this show has is really stupid. The main character just yells a lot and doesn't make any good arguments against the corporation. There's also very little thought put into how they would actually make their own country. The mining company is worth more than the GDP of the town, so how are they going to fight against them and become independent? And just because there was a border dispute in the 1840s does not mean the town doesn't belong to either country. Pretty sure that the US government or Canadian government would step in and not allow Greylock to just secede. Also, there was a ton of melodrama for just the first episode. The CW really needed a win after the disappointing premieres of Walker and Kung Fu (as well as all of their "wonderful" programs this season). It's a shame that they're giving into woke culture.
