A timely offering

What a smart and fast moving snapshot of a reality we could all too soon have to face. What to do if you are being exploited for the personal gain of a few. What creative, intelligent strategies can be implemented when we pull together. Alone we are powerless.

There is NOTHING not to like about this series that is totally fresh and unique while dealing with some very real and relatable family issues such as a family devastated by addiction and family separation trying to find its way back to each other and the devastation and splintering that occurs during the grief experience. All of this but it still isn't heavy or dark. I have watched way too much dark in recent series and that is not what we need right now, or not what I and my family need.

I did not note any stereotyped dialogue or anything too 'soapy' or 'cringey'. There is so much room for it to grow and evolve and so many storylines to follow.

Give this series a chance with an open mind and heart. And if you want ugly, intense and dark then give this one a miss and let the rest of us enjoy 'The Republic of Sarah' with fair and reasonable reviews.
