This movie has an interesting plot but is let down by a very average script, directing and acting. Bill Pullman is totally miscast as the selfish, unprincipled and ultimately evil lawyer/judge - he just cannot pull off such a person. Most of the other actors try hard with the rather limp and inconsistent script and poor direction, but overall they can't elevate it much beyond soap opera level.
Overall a good idea which could have been so much better. Passes the time but doesn't impress.
