10/10
You'll never get a series that could re-engineer TMNT in such a unique way again

Warning: Spoilers
Animation: 10/10 (not even a contest in comparison to older series)

Art style (subjective): IMO 8/10 (it improves halfway into season 1 using subtlety thinner lines with balanced weight)

Character Design: 10/10 (TMNT usually copies & pasted the same shape just with different colours but actually making them different species adds so much to their personalities) also they give background characters so much diversity that it's insane & each one is loved by a fan.

Comedy: (this was definitely a big aspect in the writers work, they even made 1 toilet joke & it was actually funny because it was also a paper joke that worked with the episode!) 9/10 because visual jokes rarely are bad.

Music: very eccentric yet works with the shows tone 7/10 also the characters do sing time to time and they actually improve like real people.

Character development/arcs: DONNIE & SPLINTER HAD ARCS WHICH I NEVER THOUGHT THEY COULD HAVE???? SCIENCE VS MAGIC & LASTING IMPACT OF CHILDHOOD TRAUMA. Raph also had a fantastic older brother development as a leader & April too with how she feels she isn't normal or part of the family. Leo & Mikey I really hope they get their development in the movie. 10/10 Format: Understandable that the show was meant to be purely episodic but Nickelodeon made them add a plot but at least they organised it so a plot developed after every 5-6 episodes and then the finale. 5/10. A lot of shows do this format and eventually lead into full plot episodes so the fact it stopped at season two is extremely sad.

The plot itself (7/10) because it was rushed no thanks to Nickelodeon cutting season two in half & made the crew force 3 seasons worth of plot into a season & a half. It was really good seeing a far more developed story than what 2003 TMNT gave.
