A private think tank wants the Professor to come work for them. The guy they send to get the contract signed is popping nerve pills the whole time he is doing the sales job for "Astroville," the city of tomorrow and trying to get the Professor to sign, but Nanny discovers the kids don't want to go and the Professor doesn't really want to either - he'd rather stay a teacher but he wants the pay and benefits of the think tank for his children. The only one who is honest about his feelings appears to be Waldo the dog, who does not like the man from Astroville at all and conspires with Nanny to kill the deal.
