It certainly broke mine--it was written at least 15 years ago. As far as I know, The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne hasn't been seen anywhere since. It is my personal Holy Grail of series to own on DVD, but (as I understand it) the rights are so tangled up that there's no way to achieve that goal, at least not any immediately obvious way. Nonetheless, I live in hope. I wish I'd known about the SyFy and WB 100+ airings. Surely, if they could air it, they could release it? Please?
It was a marvelous series, far too short, with many threads not sufficiently explored, and wonderful acting by Michael Praed as Phileas Fogg, as well as Francesca Hunt (Rebecca Fogg), Michel Courtemache (Passepartout), and Chris Demetral (Verne). Note that Secret Adventures dates from 2000, and is NOT the same as the animated JV: The Extraordinary Adventures of Jules Verne. If you get the chance to see Secret Adventures, do so!
