I enjoyed this sequel even more than the original, although the two films are largely similar. I guess the sequel was nicer because it was set in the springtime so you didn't feel so cold the entire time, and the script seemed less depressing than the first, though it did still rely on feuds and hijinks a little too much. I like films that show average people doing average things such as boating, fishing, drinking, walking, talking etc. I think that is the strength of these two Grumpy Old Men films, that they don't try to razzle or dazzle you too much, but just show a funny slice-of-life episode. And of course adding Sophia Loren to the mix was a big help; she is still beautiful and has such a great screen presence. My rating: 7/10.
