Glenn and Maggie are tortured for information about their survivor group's location.

This is a strong episode that builds a lot of dramatic tension towards what looks to be a confrontation between members of both groups.

'The Walking Dead' has portrayed the mentality of human beings in a chaotic, ungoverned state excellently for several seasons and this episode is teeing us up for what looks like a major clash of tribes.

Glenn has what is easily his coolest episode so far and Maggie is involved in a scene that is quite torturous from a psychological perspective. Chief antagonists like The Governor and Merle are portrayed as thoroughly reprehensible. This is much to the credit of David Morrissey and Michael Rooker who live and breath malevolence in scenes where they cause pain and suffering.

The events in Woodbury contrast well with the group at the prison who, despite being equally mistrusting of outsiders, are depicted as having genuine affection and decency towards each other.

My favourite scene of the episode is Carol's reemergence to the group since she first disappeared. The relief and emotion is portrayed fantastically well by the cinematography and physical performances of the actors.

The ending is the first time in the entire series that I want to immediately find out what happens next, however I have enough discipline not to watch back to back episodes (just about).

All performances and production values are as strong as ever.

For me it's an 8.5/10 but I round upwards.
