Review of The Undead

The Undead (1957)
7/10
Stupid but fun
19 December 2021
A prostitute (Pamela Duncan) is hypnotized and sent back to the Middle Ages where in a previous life she was unjustly convicted of being a witch. She escapes from prison and the real witch (Allison Hayes) sets out to capture her again.

This is one STRANGE movie! It has cardboard sets, lousy special effects, bad makeup and pathetic acting (the guy playing the Devil is beyond bad)...but I like it! Despite the material Duncan and Hayes are great, it moves quickly (it's only about 70 minutes) and I had fun watching it. Also watch for a fight between two guys where it's painfully obvious that none of the punches they're throwing are making contact! Also how can you hate a film with the wonderful Dick Miller doing a cameo? Silly but enjoyable.
