We catch up with the mission to transport Eugene to Washington DC.

This is a solid episode with some strong character development.

There are two aspects to this story: flashbacks and the current mission. I personally enjoyed the flashback sequences more as the development of Abraham and Eugene is very much needed at this point and quite intriguing. The current mission is a slow burn of mishaps and character focus leading to what is probably the most predictable revelation of 'The Walking Dead' so far.

Themes about the survival of the fittest and self preservation are worked well into the story, particularly in line with the development of Eugene's character.

Michael Cudlitz leads the episode very well as a character who is struggling mentally. The never healing wound is a good idea that makes his suffering more visual.

Visually it's as strong as ever with one great zombie action sequence near the start and good use of locations, vehicles and landscapes.

For me it's a 7.5/10 but I round upwards.
