Mercifully short

I didn't realise that Venom : Let there be carnage was such a British influenced film .

Directed by Andy Serkis and starring Tom Hardy , Stephen Graham , Naomie Harris , Little Simz and Reece Shearsmith . It's great to see actors from this side of the pond but did it help to make a great film?

Sadly not.

Eddie Brock attempts to reignite his career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage and escapes prison after a failed execution.

Firstly I have to thank the Marvel for one very good thing . The 97 minute runtime . If only they would make all their films this length I might enjoy them much more than I do.

This isn't a great film . The story is unimaginative and the action and CGI is pretty dull which is really surprising considering it's directed by the master of CGI , Andy Serkis.

Incidentally some of this film was made down the road from where I live in Bedfordshire, England .

Without a doubt the best thing about this movie is the humour. The banter between Venom and his Host , Eddie Brock , is really funny . The latter being the straight man for most of the time.

I'm not sure the world needs a third instalment of Venom . I certainly don't want one but for the hour and a half this film ran , I was mildly entertained.
