7/10
Very enjoyable movie...

I have to admit it, I am impressed yet again. Once more does director Clint Eastwood step up to the task at hand and delivers a very wholesome and enjoyable movie experience.

I sat down to watch the 2000 movie "Space Cowboys" for the second time in my life here in 2022, 22 years after it was initially released. And let me just tell you that "Space Cowboys" is every bit as entertaining and enjoyable today as it was back then. So another great notch in the directorial belt for Clint Eastwood.

Writers Ken Kaufman and Howard Klausner delivered a great script and storyline here for director Clint Eastwood to bring to life on the screen. It was a story that contains something for about just everyone in the audience, as there is action, thrills, drama, character development, and pure entertainment. Not sure how factual the movie is in its science and such, but it made for great entertainment.

Aside from a great storyline, then "Space Cowboys" was brought to life on the screen by an impressive cast ensemble. The movie had four cinema heavy-weights in the lead roles, and that being Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland and James Garner. So you have an all star lead ensemble here. But the movie also had the likes of talented actors and actresses such as James Cromwell and Marcia Gay Harden on the cast list.

"Space Cowboys" also have a great character gallery. The characters are so well-detailed and fleshed out that they feel like actual persons that you relate to and form bonds with as the movie unfolds. Lots of good character interaction and dialogue.

Visually then "Space Cowboys" is good. The special effects and CGI are great and realistic and definitely add a great edge to the movie. It felt natural and real, and thus easily draws in the audience into the events that take place on the screen.

My rating of "Space Cowboys" lands on a well-deserved seven out of ten stars.
