Though this rendition of MICKEY AND THE BEANSTALK is marred by five minutes plus of live action wooden dolls being manipulated by a ventriloquist--ventriloquism, or "voice throwing," apparently was all the rage in the 1900's--as well as being cluttered by a mute Jimmy Cricket, there is a rather clever live-action\animated amalgamation as an afterword to the main story, which involves Willie the Giant lifting the roof of live-action voice thrower\cartoon narrator Bergen.
