Finding Jesus (2020)
10/10
WORK OF ART
16 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is an absolute masterpiece. It's a classic work of art. I literally could not stop laughing during most of the Mr. Sushi scenes! He is hands down an iconic character and will always have a place in my heart, nevermind he brought us back 50 years. I thought his accent made him a fine, cultured young fellow.

Despite what many say, I don't think this movie copied Finding Nemo. Unlike Finding Nemo, the characters seemed to have no motive or dilemma, and the plot was always unclear, so clearly, it's an original and unique film that's greatly ahead of it's time. I found the unsynced voices to be a bold statement to influence generations, and the blank stares and even occasionally lazy eyes of the characters to add a certain artistic flare to it.

This movie really was an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed and I cried, I felt so much empathy for the characters through their hardships. Especially when Buttons hit his nose on a coral. My heart swelled with the longing to reach through the screen and caress his poor fish "nose".

Case in point, Mr. Sushi is superior, and this movie was so good that when it ended, I sprung up from my couch and gave it a standing ovation while crying tears of joy.

Definitely show this to your children. If they beg to change the channel it means they can't sit through the educational inquiries in this film and it's just too advanced for your little ones.

10/10 do recommend.

Oh, and after watching this, I definitely feel much closer to Jesus. <3.
