Realistic insight into how a female comedian overcomes challenges in North of England in the 1970's
18 April 2022
Many say this is the unorthorized story of comedian Marti Caine, the similarities are many.

A young girl being raised in poverty stricken northern England by abusive parents, but she show spirit and resilience and uses humour to get by in life.

The working mens clubs portrayed in the movie are historically accurate as is the audience. This movie captures the time well.

A must to watch for any inspired woman who wants to get into comedy. Full of tragedy and mirth.
