I really do not know what to say about this movie. All I know is that this is based on a book by Vonda N. McIntyre called "The Moon and the Sun".
The acting is not great, and Pierce Brosnan gives a weird performance as King louis the 14th. The Mermaid is barely in the movie even though she is a main part of the movie.
There are funny scenes mostly because of the dialogue and the acting, even in the scenes that are not supposed to be funny. I mostly just did not care about the characters or what was going on.
I especially did not understand when they would have random scenes that made no sense for the story. The plot is only talked about in the halfway point and the third act finale involving Atlantis.
This is not a good movie. Nothing was interesting, the characters are average, the Mermaid had bad CG, and unnecessarily funny scenes that you should not skip this movie.
