This looked like it had actually been filmed in a ruined Italian village, I had a look at the filming locations to see where it was, but it was studio lot shot and was very convincing. An amusing tale but the obvious expected happy ending was missing which was a let down. Lots of great supporting actors and it ran along very nicely.
