Lessons on self-worth
24 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Such a feel-good movie. It teaches you a ton about self-worth. The saying "Rejection is the universe's protection" definitely applied to Andrew's situation as he learned to put his own needs first, draw focus on himself and set goals that builds on his character.

Domino on the other hand showed us what unhealthy attachments and codependency looks like. No she did not need to marry just to firmly plant herself to the ground in the adult world. Marriage doesn't save you from your unresolved issues if anything it deepens that sound and becomes a cyclical theme of dissatisfaction and despair. She's not modelling healthy behaviours to her daughter either by settling for a loveless and convenient marriage. In hindsight, Domino's actions teaches you how to become self-reliant, self-assured and to focus on improving self-worth, so you don't resort to cheating and other insecure behaviours.
