I'm 18 but I still love this show. I have the 13 episodes recorded on vhs. The animation is definitely a step up from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 (more frames, less choppy and less mistakes) as for the animation mistakes and characters' reactions being too early sometimes, like when king koopa said "let go" before kookies dinosaur thing even grabbed him, it's still a good show and I don't think it deserves any hate really.
