A tad disappointing

I loved this book when I was in high school so when I saw they made it into a movie I was naturally excited. Obviously as many movies lack the story of a good book, this one did not seem to grab the detail I wished it would. A few examples, for one, the girls at clementines did their 9-o'clock dance every night, why couldn't the movie just make it the 9-o'clock dance, instead it was day light out. A small yet stupid detail I don't understand why the movie couldn't add, was Auden's mother was pretentious and this character did a good way of portraying that, however, in the book, she is a Cabernet drinker but she's caught drinking white wine in the movie... why? Another, is Auden and Eli go bowling for her quest, something Auden did not know how to do. In the movie they go mini golfing instead and Eli even asks her if she's been bowling to which she replied, yes. Why? There are so many more examples, but then I would just write the whole book here. Idk, I am just a stickler for good portray of detail from a book to a movie. In my opinion, if you're going to spend the time on the scene, just do it right. Also the acting was very mediocre.
