The Walking Dead: The Rotten Core (2022)
Season 11, Episode 14
8/10
Another great episode, but has some confusing choices.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode doesn't hold a candle to 11x13, but it's not necessarily bad by any means. There is plenty of action coming from both plots with big emotional and shocking moments.

The lesser part of the episode was the Sebastian plot, being kinda predictable. Mercer killing the soldiers and Daryl defending the kids was absolutely bad*** though.

Meanwhile, the Carlson plot continued to be gold. I'm upset he died so soon, but his death was so greatly iconic. Great kill for Aaron!

I really didn't like the reveal that Annie is suddenly Negan's pregnant wife. I feel like that is way too sudden a reveal with a brand new character and I kinda hope she just dies. I really don't want the Isle of the Dead spin-off cast bloated... only Lydia and maybe Elijah, please.

Speaking of Lydia, I love she has reunited with Negan and her view of the soldiers.

Also, Hershel discovering who Negan is was so powerful. You can see his pain and you can really tell he knows he's irredeemable.

Finally, Leah being the big reveal was meh but makes sense; it doesn't hurt the episode quality.
