The Terminal List (2022– )

8 hours I'll never get back

The series held much promise in the beginning, but the further it went along, the more the flaws became apparent. Really weak writing with as many plot holes as rounds of ammo were fired. And there was a lot of lead flying.

Throw all logic out the window and just try to enjoy the ride.

There was a certain appeal in a John Wick sort of way, as the body count kept increasing with each new episode. But there needs to be some substance to the fabric of the plot or it becomes just a bad video game.

Agree with other reviewers that there was an overdose of flashbacks, mostly I assume an attempt to make us feel some of his pain. But like the body count, it too was over the top.

Also agree with others that the ending was awful. Maybe they thought we needed another Dexter-like ending, (a stellar series marred by incredibly poor plot decisions in the final episode--both the original series and the "let's see if we can fix this" extra season.)

While Pratt did an admirable job with what little he had to work with, his character was not all that likable once the plot began to unfold. You don't have to like the protagonist if the story is robust (e.g. "Silence of the Lambs,") or if there is a stellar supporting cast. But frankly, I didn't find his character likable and the vengeance plot wore thin.

I won't be back for next season.
