I think all the negative reviews are because y'all expecting a ZOMBIE flick, and the zombies are just a side thought. It's an apocalypse movie, and as another reviewer commented, a psychological thriller, but let me start by providing my credentials. I have read hundreds of zombie novels, and watch hundreds of zombie flicks, starting from 1984, when as a little 8 year old girl, my significantly older brother thought it'd be cool to show me how our new VCR worked with a copy of Dawn of Dead. I had a recurring zombie nightmare for close to 20 years.... Annnyhooo, I used immersion therapy to get over my fear by watching every zombie movie, and reading every book I could get my hands on, so trust me, I know zombies. Side note: I follow the George Romero law of slow zombies, and 28 Days Later is an infected movie, not a zombie flick. Zombie as in LIVING DEAD.

Okay so back to this movie. Yeah it's slow, and the acting is meh, besides the lead chick, but have you seen some those horrifically unwatchable zombie flicks on Prime? Like even worse than Oasis of Zombies and that's saying a lot. Also it's Australian, and their movies tend to get a little long in the tooth, but always cerebral. The plot is simple, and the dialogue isn't stellar, but it's another interesting look at how humans treat each other at society's end.

I feel these negative reviews are from uneducated people who don't like a lot of dialogue, and probably don't read much. If you like psychological thrillers, Australian weirdness, and know the end is near, you might like this.

Y'all one star peeps probably didn't like The Battery either. 😘
