First, I better be truthful that I am fairly biased in favor of cop shows. I think it goes way back to Columbo (A show which also combined humor with the tragedy of crime) The Closer reruns I am catching on Start TV have been up in the caliber of Columbo. One could posit that the main character, comely Chief Brenda Johnson, a southern 'Steel Magnolia', IS a sort of reincarnation of gentle, but determined, detective Columbo.

But I digress. This is an excellent cop show in general and the episode 'Dumb Luck' S-3, E-6, was outstanding.

What was so excellent about this episode of The Closer, Dumb Luck, is that the crew took it to a higher degree of chaos, humor, and exceptional characterizations - then added to that was a mystery illness that Chief Brenda was suffering from, and finally there was still The Who-done-it to solve. This episode had it all.

It gave us viewers a magnificent hour of cop show enjoyment. I want to personally thank the total team: Writers, editor, director, actors, camera crew (particularly in the WMD training scenes) sound men, and all the other crew us average Joe's are never even aware of. You all hit it out of the park on this episode. Good Job.
