Review of Crossfire

Crossfire (2022)
2/10
Unbelievable storyline and unbelievably too long

Warning: Spoilers
I very rarely review anything on here but watching this just annoyed me. Half of it did not make sense. Plot holes like why did the attackers need someone to let them in a back gate when they could just have walked through the front entrance.

Security seemed to be non existent anyway apart from the rabbit shooting security manager.

The attackers motivation seemed to be that they had had a hard life and had been sacked from the hotel for stealing. This seemed to be the reason for getting armed and shooting their way round the swimming pool. Just didn't make any sense.

So Keeley Hawes character was an ex cop who had obviously never handled a firearm in her life. She points a shotgun at one of the attackers and expects them to obey her commands (in English BTW). Of course he shoots back at her - what a surprise.

The most ridiculous scene was where at the end she was chasing the accomplice waiter and one of the friends who was looking for some kids (I think they were Hawes kids but I had given up caring some time before that) and they friend just kept coming towards them. Seemingly he was temporarily deaf and blind as he could not hear her shouting "stay there" and blind to the shotgun she was carrying that was pointed in his direction.

So if you are a moron with time on your hands and don't mind wasting three hours of your life on this drivel then this is for you. Otherwise avoid.
