I marked this as having spoilers because John being Louis's father isn't supposed to be known? And does not Louis know or at least suspect this? It's hard to believe any of that.
As for other negatives, the apparent mafia guy that beats John and threatens to track down Louis... can this stereotype even pretend to exist in this small town world?
I guess it sounds like I hate the movie. It is entirely half baked, and padded, twice as long as it warrants.
But I found the chemistry of the leads quite gripping. And the father/son criminal road trip in the wake of their woman/mother death is something I've never seen.
It's not top shelf, but it's certainly not a bad watch.
