One of the best Harry Keller's western
6 November 2022
I remind Harry Keller for three westerns: QUANTEZ, DAY OF THE BAD MAN and SEVEN WAYS FROM SUNDOWN; OK, he also surprised us with a "dry" Esther Williams' thriller: UNGUARDED MOMENT. But that's all, forget the rest, and I don't speak of his debut at Republic Pictures in grade Z westerns - ancestors of TV series for westerns, only one hour long, even less, as were RG Springsteen and Thomas Carr too in their early career days, before the mid or late fifties when they got bigger budgets. So, back to this splendid western, yes, it is worth for the story and not only, character symphony between Audie Murphy and Barry Sullivan is awesome. This is one Murphy's best, besides NO NAME ON THE BULLET, where he plays a total different character. A great little western.
