Listen, not the best in acting, directing, but PureFlix movies have gotten a lot better over the years, which comes with having more money... for the "poor" reviewers, what do you expect from low budget Christian film? You think a Christian film should preach evil and revenge (which is the dominant theme of Hollywood's blockbusters)? Satan's minions already do a "good" job of that.
There are a lot of end-time, Post-Apocalyptic movies available, think Mad Max and the like, but did you ever think what "apocalyptic" means? If there was no Bible, there would be no apocalypse! Apocalypse is the Last book of the Bible, also called Revelation. The Book of Endings... God's Judgments, last plagues against an evil world. He destroyed the whole world by flood. The Rainbow is the sign of His covenant that He will not do so again. The End plagues allow people to repent, but they will not and will reap their judgment. No one will be able to say, "I didn't know". With MILLIONS of Bibles in the world, written in all languages, no one has an excuse.
Prophesy talks about The End: wars, pestilence, famines all on a global scale. These words were written two thousand years ago and we are seeing it today.
Think about it: two major GLOBAL wars in the 20th Century with the REAL threat of number III on the horizon. There is no peace in the world today! Think Taliban, Ukraine, Afghanistan. Look at Africa today: Slavery, wars. Even the US is vulnerable: think Towers, 9/11.
Global pandemics like the one we just suffered and still going on! An AIDS epidemic killing innocents in Africa by the thousands! Widespread famines killing many more.
And let's not forget the HATRED and RAGE that has taken over the hearts of so many: road rage; mass-murders; riots that destroyed so much in 2020; Russia invading border countries; China a global threat (don't think for a moment their goals are just local, Asian. Global dominance is the end goal, An End to the US, at least of its influence and power, the most important aim.).
You name it, we got a messed up world! It will not end until the TRUE Messiah returns. But there will be a leader who will SEEM to make everything right. Hollywood has made movies about him, too. The Omen...
This human will demand worship, and his religious leader will make you adore him and take his mark, or you will lose your head.
But, back to this movie: for what they had to work with, the series works to get its message out: man is evil, left to his own devices, will ONLY work evil even if he CALLS it "good"! And man will prove he is nothing but an animal where only the strong and most violent win! The "Titans", whom "Josh" calls "tyrants", will rule... and you will see goodness, REAL goodness die.
