Especially the performance of Jeremy Sisto, Valeria Golino and Chris Noth is notable.
Sadly we don't see anything of Cicero or Ocatvian, the later Augustus, who will be the first Roman Emperor. Also the fact, that Caesar was well-read, interested in literature and a significant writer comes short. But it's understandable, that not every aspect of Caesars life, fits in 3-4 hours. What bothers me is the fact, that the movie gives the impression, that Caesar and Pompeius were consules together for like 20 years.
Also Christopher Walken plays Cato Minor, who was a teenager, when Sulla became a dictator. That's an interesting casting choice.
