OK let's address the elephant in the room. Yes, there is zero chemistry between Kutcher and Witherspoon. But there isn't supposed to be. They are both unaware of each others' feelings. So there's bound not to be chemistry.
It's predictable? Well yes, but only in as much you realise after a while they will end up together. But it is rarely the destination that matters, it's the journey that counts.
Was it La La happy? Yes, it was very positive and upbeat and we all need a bit of that. But that's not a bad thing, a great romcom should be positive and upbeat.
I think Witherspoon was fantastic and Kutchner was OK, and the film was fine and entertaining and light hearted and positive and happy ending. For me that's a success.
