Noah's Ark (1928)
5/10
partly silent film, partly talkie, partly Biblical, partly modern day story

This tells the biblical story alongside a modern day story. The Bible stories starts with the Tower of Babel. The modern story follows Al and Travis. They are on a train when it crashes. They save a German girl named Marie and Travis falls in love. They are confronted by an escaped prisoner. War has been declared and the boys barely escape a burning Europe.

I'm guessing that the film is trying to make a point about war. I'm guessing because I'm not sure. All I really want is the story of Noah's Ark. It is the title after all. This is mostly a silent film with some dialogue scenes. It's almost like Warner Bros had made this in the transition between the two eras. The split personality extends from the technical to the story. At a certain point, I'm not really following these two parts. The modern trio don't compel me. It's a bit of a mess.
