After the Civil War, a Texan (Willard Parker) who served in the Union army comes back home to find himself ostracized by his neighbors for having fought against the Confederacy. On top of that, he finds that his younger brother is now the sheriff, and is ruling the town with an iron hand.

An adequate western that highlights the after effects of war. It's well-acted, serious-toned and has a good story - Grant Williams plays a sheriff named Greg who has a lot of issues and his deputies are plain nasty bunch that need a lesson in manners. Don't expect much gunplay -It's a quiet western with some interesting issues on the question of lynching and justice by one's own hand disguised as the law.
