I've tried most Shonda shows and have never gotten through the first 30 mins. I was hooked on this show from E1, didn't stop watching til 6 episodes later and hoping it will get an S2! Although, I will say the way this was wrapped up, it seems they don't expect another season.
I wasn't a huge fan of Bridgerton, mostly because it didn't explain (at least in the short time I gave it) how there were black aristocrats in Regency England. Now I know this show is total fantasy, but as long as it's not just left as a gaping hole, I can suspend reality to go along with a fantasy - Queen Charlotte has no holes and addressed everything directly.
The writing is fantastic, the show is evenly paced and I really really root for the characters! Hope there's another season!
