Satisfies What Is Expected

Certainly did not come into this movie with huge hopes of it being a classic and it wasn't , but it checks all the boxes of what you would hope for in a covert military/escape op style film. Gerard Butler provided his stock performance which is what's required to pull off this movie. While the movie does a pretty poor job with character development as it does not really dig deep , or really at all, into their backgrounds, it does provide an interesting story of friendship. This friendship emerges largely as a necessity for survival but grows at a pace that is realistic and not too over the top and cringey.

Some parts of the story can be a little difficult to keep up with and it could probably do with less characters. Many characters pop in and out that really aren't essential to the story which already can feel a bit convoluted.

Still a worthwhile time and passable for fans of military action films .
