Man vs. Bee (2022) is a Netflix original series that my daughter and I recently watched. The storyline follows a man who was recently divorced and desperately wants to spend more time with his daughter. He thinks he's on track to starting a new direction in life when he gets a job as a house sitter. It should be an easy enough job until his first assignment involves a complicated house with a million rules. Complicating matters further is a bee that gets into the house that tries to make his life and assignment painful. Who will win this epic showdown, the man or the bee? 🐝

This movie is created by Rowan Atkins and Will Davies, who also worked together on Johnny English, and of course stars Mr. Bean icon, Rowan Atkins. This also stars Claudie Blakley (Pride & Prejudice), Jing Lusi (Crazy Rich Asians), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Stardust) and Tom Basden (Quacks).

I always adore watching anything with Mr. Bean, aka Rowan Atkins. This does have its own charm, but isn't as good as Atkins historical work as Bean or Johnny English. The comedic content is okay for the first three episodes but takes off with a bullet in the third episode. I adored the dog as all of his scenes are hilarious (as are how they impact Mr. Atkins). The body language by Atkins, the circumstances and how they escalate quickly are all great and the conclusion was perfect for the storyline.

Overall, this isn't Atkins best work but it is entertaining and worth a viewing. I would score this a 5.5-6/10 and recommend seeing it once.
