"Mogambo" with an excitement by-pass. Or, if you prefer, "Indiana Jones" on Darvon. Watched it for about twenty minutes and then bailed, right around the time the stereotyped/sexist hot senorita secretary was draping herself all over Stew Granger. Which led me to muse on how Granger was a poor Limey's Clark Gable pretty much throughout his career. Which led me to muse on how MGM did Gable a favor by replacing him on this dog with Granger. Which somehow led me to muse on how bad the dialogue was and how it was penned (or typed) by the same guys who wrote the sublime "White Heat" just four years before and how big studio Hollywood, more than any other entity, took good writers and ground them to mush. Grace looks fine, though. C minus.
