This was a slightly above average, haunted house, semi-occultist flick that was a bit better than I was expecting. Going back and watching something over 20 years old, they don't always hold up. I thought this did a decent job.
There are some genuinely creepy moments although nothing wildly scary. The plot is a little messy with not the clearest of paths or intentions yet still semi-predictable with a small, foreseeable twist. The acting was a bit spotty from some of the cast which brought you in and out of the moment at times. Also the way the family related and spoke to each other was a tad irksome and distracting at times. I also enjoyed that the ending wasn't all sunshine and roses.
