A Deep Message & Refreshingly Funny
23 July 2023
I was really impressed with not only how enjoyable the movie was, but with the deeper message of advertising and subliminal messages meant to keep the population subdued. Think 1988s 'They Live' crossed with Quiton Tarintinos 'Jackie Brown'.

What made this movie stand out most for me was this was a black cast, with a black director, telling a story from the perspective of black people. I find it wrong that Holywood simply changes a white character to a black character and calls it 'diversity'. Every race of people deserves high quality story telling that represents their perspective and their people.

This movie is a slow burn at times but I thought it was great and kept me guessing, laughing and interested all the way through.
