Limbo (II) (2023)
4/10
Edge of Hell

Warning: Spoilers
Travis Hurley (Simon Baker) is a cop assigned to investigate cold cases. He has to go to the town of Limbo, an outback town that was a former opal mining community. Charlotte Hayes, a black person disappeared about 20 years ago. His investigation leads to him talking to Charlie (Rob Collins) and Emma (Natasha Wanganeen) her siblings. No one wants to open up to the white investigator. He talks to Joseph (Nicholas Hope) the brother of Leon, the prime suspect. Once he breaks the ice, he manages to get people to talk.

The production was in black and white. Finding opals is an occupation in town for the needy. The way the motel was made out of a mine was cool. I wish that had been in color. The film was dull but well made.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
