Anyone who seriously thought this show was funny must be very easily entertained. It appealed to the average 10 year old and even many of them found it incredibly stupid and mindless. Yes, The Monkees (The American Beatles) had musical talent and made some good music, but their attempt at humor was lame and stinky, a blatant rip-off of the equally stupid and mindless Beatles' movies. Nowadays,The Monkees TV show wouldn't last even one season, if that. Davy Jones always reminded me of a homely 14 year girl, Mike Nesmith was annoying, Mickey Dolenz looked like a monkey, and Peter Tork was the goofy one, the Ringo Starr of the Monkees.
