This episode leads the story into dark territory with Gyp Rosetti blocking Nucky's route to NYC while Nucky slips and falls with the silly showgirl, Billy. Gyp and Billy are both annoying characters; Gyp is deranged and Billy is an airhead. Nucky should know better than to get involved with a flibbertigibbet like Billy to the detriment of his business. He won't answer the phone when Owen calls to tell him about the blockade, with Nucky putting himself in dutch with Abe.
