Warning: Spoilers
For a film not liked by critics, Ticket to Paradise, it turns out, was the very ticket to get older audiences back into theaters after COVID. $160 million isn't chicken feed.

The story is nothing unusual- a divorced couple (George Clooney and Julia Roberts) come together to keep their daughter (Kaitlyn Dever) from marrying a young man (Maxime Bouttier) who farms seaweed in Bali.

You know the rest of the plot.

Gorgeous scenery and nice work from the actors. I am not a fan of Julia Roberts but I am of George Clooney. They work very well together.

Given the age of Dever, I think the parents were probably supposed to be a good 10 years younger.

No mention was made of the 22 year difference between Lucas Bravo, who played Roberts' boyfriend, and Roberts - but it's about time. Actors have played men with love interests who could be their daughters for years.
