This new Mermaid doesn't quite live up to what I was expecting from live remake. There are parts that don't quite make sense. Also I don't care for the scenes where they talk about the engagement. That song was not the greatest. It could have been put together better to make more sense.it is lacking in terms of enough action. I didn't like how the didn't do the part where they are all at the performance and Ariel is missing. I think they could have done more with when she changes from being a mermaid to being a human. I'm glad I waited and didn't see this in theaters. It was not worth paying top dollar to see.
